Founded in Greece in the early 1900s, the Togas group of companies has been a pioneer in the field of quality textiles, bringing luxury, refinement and impeccable style to homes and venues around the world. At its core, we are a family business. For almost 100 years, expertise and passion for the textile industry have been passed down from generation to generation. While tradition and heritage are at the heart of the Togas process, our team is always looking for new methods and inspiration, always striving to innovate in design and business.

Togas is proud of its Greek history and heritage, but we are a global company with offices in Greece, the USA, Russia, China, the UAE, Turkey, India and other countries. We manufacture our products worldwide, adhering to the strictest environmental standards and guidelines.

Through our work, we strive to innovate the textile market by developing new and revolutionary styles and materials. Silk, cotton, stone-washed organic linen and lyocell are just a few of the many fabrics our customers can choose from.

Togas develops unique and coherent interior design concepts, which are manifested through a complete range of bed linen, cotton products, table linen, decorative accessories, household items, curtains and home fragrances. History

1926

After the end of World War I, the young and talented Ilias Togas moved from Arcadia, a region in southern Greece, to the heart of Athens. Ilias set up a small workshop at the beginning of the Art Deco era. He established himself as a tailor specializing in uniforms for officers of the Greek army. The high quality of his work made Ilias Togas known throughout Greece.

1942

As World War II draws to a close, Ilias Togas marries Katerina Schik, the daughter of a famous Austrian textile dynasty. Their love for each other leads to the merging of their two businesses. Thus, Togas combines manufacturing with retail and, adding professional expertise in custom-made garments, a unique family empire is established, the „Togas House of Textiles”.

1955

Ilias Togas acquires his own factory, fully equipped with embroidery machines. Being the only one of its kind in Greece, the factory begins to produce and specialize in embroidering the military insignia of the Greek army, with a complex and refined craftsmanship. Togas House of Textiles is run by Ilias Togas for the next 20 years.

1975

In the early 1970s, born in Athens, Ilias' sons, Pavlos and Dimitris Togas, inherited the family business. The brothers decided to expand and develop the company into the home textile industry. They used the factory's resources and embroidery machines, capitalizing on the knowledge and experience passed on by their father. Since then, home textiles have become the main activity of the family.

1995

The family story continues with the arrival of Pavlos' son, Kostas Togas, in the company, where he initiates the expansion of the Togas sales network into a new market, the Russian one. The first mono-brand store opens in the center of Moscow, in the prestigious GUM. This was the first step taken towards building an unprecedented distribution network, unique in the region.

2017

The Togas Group of Companies currently holds a leading position in the global textile industry, with factories worldwide and offices located in the USA, Greece, Russia, China, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and India, offering a unique, personalized service in its extensive network of boutiques. The company employs over 1,750 people worldwide and operates 140 boutiques and 57 interior boutiques with customized couture products.
