The Grisso jewelry box impresses with its uniqueness. It is handmade in an ancient marquetry technique (or straw mosaic).
\nDecorative objects made in this rare technique were incredibly popular in the 17th and 18th centuries and later, during the Art Nouveau period. In marquetry, a wooden base is decorated with strips of straw painted in different colors with natural dyes. Such elements make the mosaic look three-dimensional, creating interesting color transitions. Finished products are covered with a durable varnish to protect them from external influences and moisture.
\nThe rectangular box is spacious and can be used to store small accessories, costume jewelry and souvenirs. It is made of precious Indian rosewood \u2013 a durable and hard type of decorative wood. The interior of the object is lined with microfiber. The model will decorate a console in the living room or a bedside table in the bedroom and will not go unnoticed thanks to its original geometric pattern and the play of gray-green shades in the mosaic. The model looks vivid and three-dimensional, creating a sense of perspective. These unusual marquetry objects highlight the beauty of natural materials and delicate craftsmanship.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
