The Harlyn dinner plate is made of the highest quality bone china.
The material is based on kaolin (white clay), quartz and 25% bone ash. Bone china is distinguished by its immaculate whiteness, extreme fineness and subtle transparency when viewed in the light. The high percentage of bone ash, combined with the white clay, gives it a special elegance, and despite its delicate appearance, this type of porcelain is much more resistant than other types of ceramics. The production of bone china is a complex process, carried out in several stages. The liquid porcelain is poured into special molds and fired for 10–14 hours in a gas kiln at 1400 °C. After cooling, the pieces are glazed by hand, then decorated using the decalcomania technique, and finally subjected to a final firing. Thanks to this process, the porcelain retains its impeccable whiteness and characteristic gloss over time. The plate, generous in size, is decorated with a complex geometric pattern in the Art Deco style. This style, which is experiencing a new period of popularity, impresses with its elegance and spectacular design. The gray-toned model is accented with refined gold lines and framed by a shiny 24-carat gold rim, highlighting the impeccable white porcelain.
