The deep soup plate from the "Martinelli Nature" collection is made of high-quality, immaculate white Bone China.
The composition of this porcelain includes kaolin (white clay), quartz and bone ash (25–30%). Bone China is distinguished by its intense whiteness and the fineness of the material, being almost translucent when held up to the light. The high content of bone ash, combined with the white clay, gives it a special elegance. Despite its delicate appearance, this type of porcelain is much more resistant than other types of ceramics: it does not deteriorate over time, does not mattify and retains its shine.
The production process is complex and involves several stages. The liquid porcelain is poured into special molds and fired in a gas kiln for 10–14 hours at a temperature of 1400°C. After cooling, the pieces are glazed by hand. Subsequently, the patterns are applied manually using the decalcomania technique. The last stage is the final firing in the kiln, which fixes the glaze and decoration.
The "Martinelli Nature" collection combines the refinement of porcelain with the delicate lines of the classic Toile de Jouy motif, which decorates each piece. This floral pattern, rendered in monochrome, is applied manually using the decalcomania technique. The fine lines, in shades of smoky pink, that outline the edges of the plate, give the collection a special elegance.
The deep soup plate can be combined with other pieces from the „Martinelli Sentiment”, „Martinelli Amour” and „Martinelli Fleurs” collections. These collections feature similar motifs — landscapes and flowers in the Toile de Jouy style. Each family member can choose their favorite pattern and create their own personalized set, and all the pieces will harmonize perfectly, creating a unified aesthetic and emphasizing the elegance of the French style.
